Parkdean Holidays is one of the UK’s fastest growing Holiday Park Operators. They offer a range of quality accommodation including caravan holiday homes, lodges, apartments and chalets across 24 sites. They also have a thriving touring and camping operation.
The Problem
Parkdean were using an outdated legacy system that was hampering their ambitious growth plans. They engaged Web Applications to provide a Reservation System that would improve call centre efficiency, sales and profitability and maximize park occupancy. Further the new system must work multi location to allow access for on-site park staff and have adaptations to deal with their touring and camping
requirements.
Of course the Reservation System must integrate seamlessly with the website to allow live online availability and booking.

As Tr@veller is a browser based system, Parkdean were able to use the same system in their call centre and Holiday Parks, so no duplication of effort or synchronisation of separate systems was required. Tr@veller has user-defined access rights so there is control over what different users can see and do.

Tr@veller’s client module builds up a complete booking and enquiry system giving Parkdean unique insight into buying preferences, in turn making marketing campaigns more profitable.

The system’s search mechanism shows availability at category or individual unit level. Sophisticated mapping functionality allows staff to pinpoint the location of a unit on the Park allowing staff to deal with the most discerning of customers. In built rule sets ensure staff sell ‘efficiently’ maximising site occupancy by eliminating difficult to sell gaps in availability. Selling information about parks and individual units is available at the click of a mouse.
- Maximising profitability
A unique calculator function shows not just the basic price of a holiday but any number of upsell items to help improve profitability from every booking.
- Special Offers
Tr@veller’s special offer functionality allows Parkdean to develop and control the application of special offers and target specific accommodation types, - essential in today’s competitive market. Staff can only apply offers when the relevant terms and conditions apply, stopping mistakes and protecting margin.
